Had coffee and an apple for breakfast then started warming up a packaged skillet meal. Does a packaged meal count as a microwave meal? They both have high salt and are meals ready to eat. Watched Jamie Oliver Food Revolution and I decided i have to get myself to that point wear i can cook from scratch.

natural living log

Had coffee for breakfast. Oh no Im getting lazy about my dedication to natural living. Had a microwave meal for lunch and dinner. Bought a salad from Wendy's I dont count that as fast food. No soda or fast food.

I find nudism and Christianity to be an oxymoron. But then I became informed of a liberal theology tradition contrary to a conservative theology tradition. I am a baptized and confirmed Episcopalian and I didn't realize it but I grew up in the liberal tradition. My liberalization has become so liberal that I have become a secular humanist. It was a difficult journey to becoming a humanist and has taken over 40 years. In brief, I believe God is fictional, an invention of our imagination, and I believe in Jesus the man but not Jesus the God. Now that Im free to live outside of a religious tradition I can redefine the world in new terms.

natural living log

The exercising that I did before bed kept me up and I woke up late. For breakfast I had coffee and white bread I was not motivated. For lunch I cooked hot dogs on the grill this is the first time this year I used the grill. I dont like the grill I bought it eight years ago and it stayed in its box until last summer. Thats how dedicated I am to cooking it takes eight years to get motivated. I got discouraged with cooking on the grill when last summer I grilled some chicken and gave myself food poisoning. Also for lunch I cooked mostaccioli and meatballs. For dinner I had a lamb meal carryout.

Im introducing a new statistic, creating harmony in the house, which is doing house and yard work. I have a stop watch going on my ipod that I listen to while I work. The work outside included putting down a mulch of last years leaves on the vegetable garden. Last summer i started a vegetable garden it was two feet square. This year I have enlarged it to four feet square and I am growing strawberries, tomato, cucumber, pole bean and have room for more. Last year my tomato did not do well because I did not mulch and the fruit exploded from too much water absorption.

Exercising was walking the dog barefoot a half mile. New exercise was lunges they were more difficult then expected it was hard to balance.

Ran two eighths of a mile in shoes and that went well. Later in the day i tried it again and it did not go as good. I think I was under nourished. Walked the dog a half mile barefoot.

Did not drink soda or eat fast food but ate three microwave meals. My raw food for the day was a banana. I dont want to eat microwave meals I want to cook my own food but I dont know how to cook. I cooked a little last summer for the first time. For ten years I have been dependent on fast food and microwave meals and it took a toll on me. Going natural is supposed to improve my life.

natural living log

Walked the dog barefoot a mile. The dog has developed bad knees and is not himself. He is scared of being maimed because of his problem. I dont know if I'll have the same dog that loved to run and jump around and was good going after the rabbits. All my training to slow him down and develop good line control were for not. How did he figure out I have been contemplating getting a bird dog for pheasants and took himself out of the game. He is still a good hunting buddy and I think he'll adjust.

Did not drink soda or eat fast food but had one microwave meal. Ate five times today probably under my calorie needs.

Ran in shoes two eighths of a mile. Forefoot/ midfoot landing was more labored but good enough for me. Two eighths of a mile is all my heart can take at once. That will improve. Foot ankle strength have improved because of barefoot walking/ running as the barefoot weirdos said it would. I started barefoot running/walking in July 2010 and stuck to until November. My feet were swollen at first and I was working muscles I never worked before in my feet. Now I dont have that problem and have been barefoot running/walking this year about a month. What I gained from last year I kept over the winter but I lost my soles of leather.

I was nude in the house unless I had to go outside.

The benefits of barefoot running are explained in this video.

Listened to Naturist Living Show episode about nude theater. I wondered since the actors were willing to be nude on stage would they consider going to a nudist camp?

Walked the dog barefoot a mile. Ran in shoes about two eighths of a mile. For the first time I ran on my forefoot/ midfoot naturally with a little effort to maintain that posture.

Did not drink soda or eat fast food. Ate one microwave meal.

Was nude in the house most of the time and spent some time nude in the outdoor nude room reading and eating and drinking. Thankfully the house next door is vacant so I can enjoy my nude room.

My barefeet after walking and mowing the lawn. Did not cut off my feet with the lawn mower they never come near the blade and it felt good to push the mower barefoot.

First nudist camp day of 2011

Went to camp for the day the camp was quite. Mainly staff present and the regulars. Visitors were a couple who were comfortable being nude they entertained themselves sunning, playing in the lake. Continuing to realize Im getting bored by seeing naked women and getting more comfortable to be around them. Thats a good thing because I can focus on enjoying myself and not be overwhelmed by emotions.

Practiced shuffelboard and breathing while swimming. Breathing in freestyle swimming is going to be a huge challenge. Every physical endeavor I take up becomes a mechanical challenge.

The other visitor was having his first time probably. He was reluctant to be nude and walked around wearing swim shorts. But he got nude and showed off his junk to the few women around. They were amused by his "check me out Im a stud" attitude. Female nudists are more mature about nudism and are probably as bored with seeing men as I am becoming with seeing women. They were not impressed by his junk.

Its a nice feeling to be able to get acquainted with that other nude person and not be overwhelmed by the experience of being nude with strangers. Ate dinner there and for some reason I was the only fully nude person at dinner. No one was bothered by my nudity. I would have liked it if everyone else were nude it did make me think I was the weird guy for being nude at dinner. Most of the time people are nude at dinner and those people have done it before. Camp needs to work on what impact a lazy dress policy is having on the experience.

Noticed that I see some children dressed more after I complained that I felt the children were being pressured to be nude. If you pressure children they will develop bad feelings about nudisim. Don't turn nudism into a form of punishment. Maybe parents could set some terms; If mom and dad are nude your expected to be nude, We all have to be nude here or during these times. Setting terms doesn't always hold on long however. It is best to develop a positive environment in which naturism can be nurtured. So whats fun about being nude to the person who isnt interested or feels obligated? How to make an obligation out of something usually seen as a choice is the challenge. That obligation should be ever evolving and an aid to personal growth. Saw another couple with a child they were all nude except the mother who wore bottoms. There was some parental-child arguing and the parents were nervous having their child around nude strangers. But the child found ways to enjoy herself and was not traumatized by the experience. The parents seemed unprepared to provide entertainment for their family. Camp often requires that you find ways to entertain yourself.

I also jogged on the road about two eighths of a mile. I brought shoes and socks to camp for the first time. When I started I did not realize that gym shoes and socks are about the only thing nudists wear because you need them if your going to get involved in sports. The road surface was difficult to run on. I also ran barefoot on grass but the soil is too hard and painful to run on. Barefoot running wont be happening at camp. Running completely nude should be something encouraged at nudist camps groomed trails would help.

Time as a naturist the way it should be, six hours, not including the four hour commute. Brought a cooler with drinks, folding cushioned lounge chairs and a table, towels, sunscreen and medical kit and a shade canopy I didn't use. Even a day visit requires some planning.

Here is an example of what the experience is like at a nudist camp.
